A tenista russa voltou a alcançar uma grande vitória e bateu a segunda top 5 da semana. Depois de Aryna Sabalenka, Alexandrova eliminou Jessica Pegula com as parciais de 4-6, 6-1 e 6-1, em 1h40, em mais uma exibição próxima da perfeição a partir do segundo set.
